St. Louis — Betty J. Carlson, 87, of Terre Haute, died Monday, March 15, 2010, in Southwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born July 13, 1922, in Terre Haute, to Charles Montague and Mary Nichols Montague. She was preceded in death by her husband, Moses E. Carlson.
Survivors include three daughters, Patricia Ann Clayton and her husband Tom, Deborah Peel and her husband Larry, and Betty Jane Carlson; four grandchildren, Thom Clayton, Patrick Clayton, Jeff Peel, and Gary Peel; five great-grandchildren; a special nephew, Richard Shaw; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 18, 2010, in Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 S. 25th St., with the Rev. Paul Wagner officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation is scheduled prior to services from 9 to 11 a.m. on Thursday. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the 14th and Chestnut Community Center.
