SHELBURN — Cecelia Sebring, 95, of Shelburn, passed away at 6:40 p.m. on Saturday, May 5, 2012, in Miller’s Merry Manor in Sullivan. She was born March 12, 1917, in Jackson Hill (Sullivan County), to Joseph McCracken and Rushia Nixon McCracken.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, John William Sebring. Surviving is a daughter, Rhonda Crooks (Wilbur); grandchildren, Kelly Walker (Dennis) and John Crooks (LeaAnne); and great-grandchildren, Dylan Walker, Adara Crooks, and Brennan Crooks.
She greatly enjoyed bowling, fishing, camping, and quilting. She was a lifetime member of the Order of the Eastern Star, attended Shelburn United Methodist Church, and was a 1936 graduate of Sullivan High School.
Visitation is Wednesday, May 9, 2012, from 11 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m., at Holmes Memorial Chapel, in Sullivan, with Pastor Norman Santus officiating. Interment will follow in Little Flock Cemetery, in Shelburn. In lieu flowers, contributions may be made to Shelburn United Methodist Church or charity of your choice.
