TERRE HAUTE — Helen Lucille Kellie Thompson, of Fort Wayne, and formerly of Terre Haute, passed away Friday, Aug. 31, 2012, at the Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home in Fort Wayne, Ind. Helen was born July 22, 1925, in Terre Haute, to Robert Logan Kellie and Pearl Gladys Jones Kellie. Helen was a graduate of Gerstmeyer Tech High School in Terre Haute and was a homemaker most of her life.

Helen enjoyed art, particularly drawing and painting as well as old movies and music.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Mary Robson, Leora Fitzgerald, and Margaret McCarty, a granddaughter, Hilary Ann Boehmer. She is survived by two daughters, Dr. Jeannie Di Clementi and her wife Mary Ross of Fort Wayne, and Joni Boehmer and her husband Darrell David Boehmer of Terre Haute. She also is survived by five grandchildren, David Di Clementi, Kellie Ogle, Laura Boehmer, Morgan Di Clementi-Ross, and Evinn Di Clementi-Ross; 13 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews, Tim Robson, Amy James, Eileen Huey, Gerri Arbaugh, Bob McCarty, and Jim Fitzgerald; and four honorary grandchildren, Matt, Chris, Sarah, and Michelle Hull.

Services will be held Thursday, Sept. 6, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 North 13th St., in Terre Haute, with visitation on Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2012, from 4 until 8 p.m., and from 10 a.m. until service time on Thursday. The Rev. Rick Swan will be officiating. Burial will be at Highland Lawn cemetery. The family suggests that if friends so desire, contributions may be made to Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home, 5910 Homestead Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46814.
