TERRE HAUTE —
Jennifer Krockenberger, 40, of Terre Haute, passed away at 7:10 a.m. Friday June 8, 2012, from a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was born on Oct. 29, 1971, and was raised by Janice Salyers and Ralph Snyder. She was a graduate of Terre Haute North Vigo High School, class of 1989. She had been employed as a secretary at Indiana State University in the football department for several years.
On June 14, 1997, Jennifer married the love of her life, Eric Krockenberger, and followed her hearts desire to be a stay at home mother, where she dedicated her time to being a devoted wife and mother to her three children, Megan, Cari, and Colin. Jennifer took great pride in being the owner and designer of Glen Home Historical Tribute Website, where she herself looked for biological family members. She was also involved in several groups such as Autism Awareness, MACC group, Wabash Valley Moms, Wabash Valley Geneology Society, Women’s Fellowship, member of Central Christian Church, and founder of The Outsiders and Ralph Macchio Websites. She enjoyed hosting parties for family and several close friends, where she was often seen playing her favorite card game Hand and Foot. Jen adored the time she was able to spend with her granddaughter, and was delighted to see her husband race go-karts and sprint cars throughout the years.
Survivors include her husband, Eric Krockenberger; three children, Colin Krockenberger, Cari Krockenberger, and Megan Meany and her husband Tim; a granddaughter, Mackenzie Meany; her mother, Janice Salyers; her father, Ralph Snyder and his wife Janet; six sisters, Janette Tisdale, Jill Ray, Jane Boatman, Vicki Sloan, Kim Brock, and Michelle Welton; three brothers, Don McShanog, Jerry Allen Salyers, and Jeff Salyers; three aunts, Barbara McQueen, Sharon Crist, and Patricia Prulhiere; three uncles, Tom McQueen, Frank Crist, and Jim Sludder. She also was a loving aunt to several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Jerry Salyers; her grandparents, Norman and Elizabeth Sludder and Mardell and Ralph Snyder; and her best friend, Tiffany Wilson.
Jennifer’s funeral service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 13, 2012, in Central Christian Church, 4950 Wabash Ave., in Terre Haute, with Pastor Rebecca Zelensky officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, in the church. The family kindly suggests that if friends so desire, memorial contributions may be made to Autism Awareness Association with envelopes available in the church. Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 N. 3rd St., West Terre Haute, assisted with arrangements.
