Ella M. Stewart, 88, of Terre Haute, passed away at her residence on Monday, Dec. 3, 2012. She was born on Feb. 20, 1924, to Ernest and Bertha Callahan Cuffle. She was a homemaker.

Her husband, Clifton L. Stewart, preceded her in death in July 2008. She is survived by two sons, Ernest L. Stewart and his friend Cindy Knott and Charles R. Stewart and his wife Barbara; one brother, Harry Cuffle; four sisters, Lillian Maxine Liggett, Betty Wilguess, Jane Sydram, and Jeraldine Reynolds; five grandchildren, David Stewart and wife Mary Ann, Mike Stewart and wife Maya, Kevin Stewart, Sean Stewart and wife Lila, and Mara Weeda and husband Greg; and 10 great-grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by three brothers, Richard Cuffle, John Cuffle, and Jerry Cuffle.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012, at 11 a.m. in DeBaun Springhill Chapel, 85 E. Springhill Drive, with the Rev. Bob Weeks officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Friends may call from 9 a.m. Saturday until service time. Online condolences may be made at: www.debaunfuneralhomes.com
