Carol L. Meehan Kisner, 72, of Terre Haute, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012, at 6:05 p.m. in Cobblestone Crossing Health Care. She was born Feb. 26, 1940, in Terre Haute, to Edward Meehan Sr. and Doris (Jeffers) Meehan.
Carol is survived by daughters, Sherri Vanyek and her husband David of Libertyville, Ill., Tammi Houser and her husband Kelly of West Terre Haute, and Kristi Kisner and her companion Jerry Towles of Terre Haute; grandchildren, Melissa Vanyek, McKenzie Vanyek, Jordan Houser, and Brooke Houser; sister, Ann Caserotti and her husband William of Terre Haute; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and two “grand-cats” Sassy and Maddy.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her brothers, Edward Meehan Jr. and Thomas Meehan.
Carol loved going out to eat with friends and family and going shopping. Also she was the family news buff, keeping everyone up to date on news and weather. Carol worked for many years at Midland Glass Company and then for the Vigo County School Corporation.
Visitation will be today from 4 to 8 p.m. in Callahan-DeBaun Funeral Home, 2425 Wabash Ave., with funeral services on Monday, Dec. 3, 2012, at 1 p.m. in the funeral home, with Pastor Butch Leek officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
