TERRE HAUTE —

Jim was born on July 7, 1932, in Norfolk, Va. His family was his first priority and he loved them very much. Jim was a hard worker and in his younger years enjoyed spending time outdoors camping or on the boat.  Survivors include Norma Williams, to whom he was married for 38 years; three sons, James Ronald Williams Jr. and wife Jeanne of Fernandina, Fla., Charles Dennison Williams and wife Brenda of Germantown, Tenn., and William Steve Williams and wife Shirley of Terre Haute; one stepdaughter, Debbie Garvey of Terre Haute. Jim was the proud and loving grandfather to seven grandchildren, Jim Johnson of Terre Haute, Shannon Confiliano and husband Dan of Joliet, Ill., Angi Morris and husband Mason of Gardner, Ill., Christy Hullett and husband Scott of Gastonia, N.C., Devon Andamson and husband Darran of Terre Haute, Christopher Williams of Cordova, Tenn., and Adam Williams of Germantown. Also surviving are 13 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.

A memorial service will be held at the Maple Avenue United Methodist Church, 1203 Maple Ave., on Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012, at 11 a.m. Private burial will take place in Roselawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions, in memory of Jim, may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association or the Leukemia Foundation.
