TERRE HAUTE —
Clarence Edward Heck, 68, of Terre Haute, passed away Friday, May 11, 2012, in his residence, surrounded by his family. He was born Oct. 27, 1943, in Terre Haute, to William E. Heck and Delphyn Carter Heck. He was a general contractor all of his life, and also was a veteran of the United States Army. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, antique cars, and woodworking.
He was preceded in death by both of his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Penny Price Heck; one son, Michael Craffets of Terre Haute; two daughters, Selina Heck of Boise, Idaho, and Clara Floyd and her husband Robert of Cottonwood, Ala. He also is survived by one sister, Joyce McCammon of Terre Haute; and three grandchildren, Shelbie Floyd, Zachary Craffets, and Nathan Craffets.
Funeral services for Clarence will be at Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 N. 13th St., in Terre Haute, on Tuesday, May 15, 2012, at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Keith Taylor officiating. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time. Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Southern Care Hospice or American Cancer Society.
