CLAY CITY —
CLAY CITY — Cleo M. McKee, 86, of Clay City, passed away May 8, 2012, at Terre Haute Regional Hospital. She was born Nov. 9, 1925, in Clay County, the daughter of Charles and Flossie Van Ness. She married When McKee and he preceded her in death in 1990. She was a homemaker and a member of the Clay City Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed painting and was a member of the Good Hope Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and two brothers, Charles “Jack” VanNess and Earl Van Ness.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, William “Bill” McKee and wife Aida of Jacksonville, Fla.; daughter, Patricia Carmack of Terre Haute; several grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, May 12, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Maple Grove Cemetery with Pastor John Thompson officiating. Light a candle in her memory at:
