LINTON — Dorcas M. Nolan, age 94, of Linton, passed away at 7:01 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2012, at I.U. Health Bloomington Hospital in Bloomington. She was born July 13, 1918, in Dugger, the daughter of Dewey and Kathryn (Walters) Birch.

She was a homemaker, a member of St. Peter Catholic Church in Linton, St. Anne Altar Society at the church, and was a member of the Pink Ladies Auxiliary at the Linton hospital for over 40 years.

Survivors include two daughters, Jane Sollars and Kathy (Steve) Priest, all of Linton; a son, James P. (Linda) Nolan of Linton; eight grandchildren, April Nolan, Tracie Lebel, Heather Yung, Elise Walter, Holly Goodson, Noel Baker, Bridget Fultz, and Andrew Sollars; and 10 great-grandchildren, Nolan Lebel, Haley Yung, Griffin Hamlin, Lucy Fultz, Jarrett Hamlin, Max Fultz, Kinsey Sollars, Kylie Sollars, Scarlett Fult, and Parker Walter.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Kenneth James Nolan, Nov. 24, 1992.

A Mass of Christian burial will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 25, 2012, at St. Peter Catholic Church in Linton, with Father Michael Madden officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 9 to 9:45 a.m. Saturday at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home, 140 E. Vincennes St., in Linton. The Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m.. Friday at the funeral home. Online condolences can be made at:
