TERRE HAUTE — Jody Lee Manwaring Wright, went on to a new life in God’s arms, on Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2012, after a long and courageous battle with illness, surrounded by loving family.

She was born on Dec. 20, 1956, to Joe and Virginia (Fortner) Manwaring. Jody was a homemaker. She received her CNA from Ivy Tech and worked at Meadows Manor North, Westminster Village, and Terre Haute Regional Hospital, before retiring. She loved cooking for her family, enjoying her grandchildren, shopping, collecting dolls, and scented candles.

She leaves behind a husband, and companion of 33 years, Tom D. Wright; daughters: Brandi Hoehn and husband Scott, Michelle KIutey, Misty Cox, Cherie Strange and husband Danny; a son, Tommy Wright II and wife Ashley; two stepdaughters, Calandra Baker and husband Antwon, and Coya Wright; brother, Mark Manwaring and wife Sharon; eight grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by both parents; and a sister, Sandy Boyd.

A memorial service in honor of her life will be at Mattox-Wood Funeral Home, 4660 N. Lafayette Ave., with Bishop Howard L. Wright Jr. officiating. Cremation is scheduled. The family would like to thank Hospice for their excellent care.
