TERRE HAUTE —
Golden H. Kirby, 95, of Terre Haute, passed away at 12:27 p.m. on May 21, 2012. He was born Sept. 7, 1916, to Charles and Mary (Holmes) Kirby. He was a member of the United Steel Workers. Golden enjoyed working in the outdoors, playing cards and playing pool.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Rosemary (Gayso) Kirby in 1976; his parents; daughter, Rosemary Kirby; three brothers; and four sisters.
He is survived by his sons, Gordon Kirby and wife JoAnn, Ronald Kirby and wife Jan, and William Kirby; daughters, Joan Stephens, Sharon Geheb and husband Jerry, Susan Heyen and significant other Marvin Tryon, Darlene Noel and husband Earl, and Dianne Quail; many grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
Funeral services have been scheduled for Thursday, May 24, 2012, at 1 p.m., at Callahan-Debaun Funeral Home, 2425 Wabash Ave., with the Rev. Jeff Lee officiating. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be 11 a.m. until time of services Thursday. Online condolences can be made at: www.callahanfuneralhome.com
