SHELBURN — Madge Chubb, 81, of Shelburn, went home to meet her savior at 10:08 a.m. on Friday, May 18, 2012, at Sullivan County Community Hospital. She was born June 27, 1930, in New Orleans, La., to William Wise and Clara Murray Wise.
She is survived by a daughter, Lanna Brunton Thomason (Robert) of Sullivan; a son, William Chubb (Jeanette) of Shawneetown, Ill.; five grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Jack Leon Chubb in 2000.
She was a member of Shelburn Church of God, where she had been the organist and pianist for many years.
Her viewing will be Monday, May 21, 2012, from 10 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. at Holmes Memorial Chapel in Sullivan. The service will be officiated by Pastor J.F. Rehmel, and interment will follow in Little Flock Cemetery in Shelburn. Online condolences may be left at:
