Della Irene Brown

TERRE HAUTE — Della Irene Brown was born Oct. 27, 1964, in Terre Haute, to Robert Brown and Shirley Bailleul Brown. She went to be with the Lord and her parents on the evening of June 20, 2012.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and grandparents. She is survived by her four siblings, Linda Brown, Robert Brown, and Elizabeth Asay, all of Terre Haute, and David Brown and wife Mary of Robinson, Ill.; four nieces and one nephew; and her significant other, Harry Cooper.

She was a graduate of South Vigo High School and a member of Farmersburg Emmanuel Baptist Church, where she had been baptized and was an A student at their Bible College. Along with her involvement in her church, she worked in the food pantry and had plans of going to Bible camp this summer.  

Della was a well-known animal-lover as well as a sports enthusiast.

Visitation will be held at DeBaun Springhill Chapel, 85 E. Springhill Drive, on Sunday, June 24, 2012, from 5 to 8 p.m. Graveside services will be on Monday, June 25, 2012, at 10:30 a.m. in South Vigo Congregational Cemetery, with Della’s minister, the Rev. Harold Davis presiding over the funeral service. In lieu of flowers, please give a donation to the Kidney Foundation. Online condolences may be left at:
