Walter ‘Jack’ L. Wilson

TERRE HAUTE — Walter “Jack” L. Wilson, 73, of Terre Haute, passed away on Jan. 29, 2013, after a long bout with cancer.

Jack was born Oct. 14, 1939, in Terre Haute, to Homer and Ruby Doan Wilson.

He was a roofer with Paitson Roofing Company for about 28 years.

Jack was preceded in death by both of his parents; one brother, Billy Wilson; and one son, Steven Shane Wilson.

He is survived by his wife, Betty A (Long) Wilson, whom he has been married to for 581⁄2 years, and his children, Jackie Wilson, Angela Dudley, Tina Martin and Diana Wilson, all of Terre Haute. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Tabatha McClung, Andy, Jackie and Jacob Wilson, as well as Clarisa Dean and Britney Gregg. He is also survived by many great-grandchildren, as well as friends, family and loved ones. He had a special granddaughter whom he called “The Kid.” She knows who she is.

As were Jack’s wishes, cremation has been scheduled with no services. Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 N. 13th St., was entrusted with arrangements. Online condolences may be made at:
