ST. BERNICE — Jerry J. Reed, 74, of St. Bernice, died Monday, Jan. 14, 2013. Jerry was born Nov. 23, 1938, in Clinton, the son of John Stanley Newton and Rowena Lucille (Setree) Reed. Mr. Reed was retired from Milwaukee Railroad Company and was a United States Air Force veteran.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents. Mr. Reed is survived by his wife, Nieves J. Tucker-Reed of St. Bernice; children, Jerry “Jay” (Amy) Reed Jr. of Jasonville, Jason R. Reed, Scarlet Cobb of Terre Haute, Penny (Tom) Miller of Jasonville, and Jene Ann (Cody) Bright of Terre Haute; several grandchildren; great-grandchildren; mother-in-law, Priscilla J. Tucker of Terre Haute; his faithful dog, P.J.; and special cousin, Beverly (Ken) Warner of Fillmore.
A celebration of life will take place at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Simple Cremations and Burials.
