Eleanor J. Wright, 84, of Terre Haute, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013, in Kindred Hospital in Indianapolis. Eleanor was born in Burnett, on May 9, 1928, to Pearl William Gibson and Pearl Lemrick Gibson.
She formerly attended East Side Church of Christ in Terre Haute. She worked for the former Meis Store as a buyer for the Boulevard Room and as supervisor in Ladies Fashions. She also worked for Wright Dental Lab along side her husband and son. She was the owner and operator of Albert’s Kitchen at Vigo Bowl in Terre Haute. She was an accomplished seamstress, loved to read, watch old movies, dining out and especially enjoyed visiting with her friends and family. She was a great supporter of the Terre Haute Humane Society.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Albert Wright, who passed away in 1978; one brother, Albert Gibson; and a sister, Joan Gibson Johnson. She is survived by two daughters, Beth Wilson and her husband Larry of Terre Haute and Jane Fiorini and her husband Carl of Owego, Ill.; and one son, Jack Wright and his wife Gail Bitzegaio Wright of Terre Haute. She is survived by five grandchildren, John Fiorini, Josh Wright and his wife Christie, Jessica Fiorini, Ethan Wilson, and Olivia Wilson.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, Jan. 21, 2013, at Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 N. 13th St., Terre Haute, at 10 a.m., visitation will be at the funeral home on Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m. The Rev. Mark Grayless will be officiating, burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that contributions be made to Terre Haute Humane Society, Terre Haute North Band Boosters or Terre Haute Kiwanis.
