Rebecca Ruth (Shedd) Bough, 85, Terre Haute, passed away peacefully January 11, 2013 at Davis Gardens. She was born October 16, 1927 in Vincennes, Indiana to Walter Shedd and Lora (Boyles) Shedd. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Dr. Max E. Bough, in 2002.
Becky Bough is survived by son, David M. (Adrienne M.) Bough of Zionsville, Indiana; son Bradley A. (Susan K.) Bough of Terre Haute, Indiana; and 5 beloved grandchildren, Natalie M. (James B. "Bart") Nicholson of Ambler, Pennsylvania, Jason D. Bough of Las Vegas, Nevada, Taylor L. Schaffer of Indianapolis, Indiana, Miller M. Bough of Terre Haute, Indiana, and Maxine E. Bough of Terre Haute, Indiana. Becky is also survived by one sister, Mary Lou Yoho of Terre Haute.
Becky was a graduate of Garfield High School and Indiana State Teachers College. She taught elementary school in Merrillville, Mishawaka and Terre Haute. She was a member of Memorial United Methodist Church, Rebekah Circle and Indiana State University Faculty Wives. Becky was an active resident of Westminster Village for many years and enjoyed social activities with family and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 15, 2013 in Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street, with Reverend Scott Johnson officiating. Private burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation is scheduled prior to services on Tuesday from 5:00-7:00 P.M. in the funeral home.
