Norma Gray, 88, went to be with the Lord, surrounded by her grandchildren and her life-long friend, Jan, at 9:42 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013, in Royal Oaks Health Care and Rehabilitation Center in Terre Haute.

Norma was born Jan. 9, 1924, in Terre Haute, to Llewellyn Jones and Edith Ditamore Jones. Norma was a member of The First Church of the Nazarene, enjoyed playing cards, bingo and especially enjoyed her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Gray, on Jan. 31, 2006. She also was preceded by her son, Tim Gray; and a daughter, Mary Lou Sumansky Alcox, who passed away June 1996. She also was preceded by a sister, Patricia Miller; and a brother, Jim Jones and his wife Irma Jones. She is survived by grandchildren: Jill Koos and her husband Steve, Brad Sumansky and his wife Polly, and Kevin Sumansky and his wife Cathy, all of Terre Haute, Eric Gray of Floyd Knobs, and Lyndsay Fortner and her husband Chris, also of Floyd Knobs; great-grandchildren: Ian Koos, Joseph Sumansky, Anna Sumansky, and Aubrey Fortner; daughter-in-law, Billie Gray; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 7, 2013, at Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 N. 13th St., in Terre Haute, with visitation from 11 a.m. until service time on Monday at the funeral home. The Rev. Larry Mathias will be officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park.
