TERRE HAUTE — Christine Lundberg Smith, 72, of Grand Haven, Mich., passed away Saturday, June 9, 2012, at her home after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on June 6, 1940, in Cleveland. Christine married Kirby D. Smith on Nov. 2, 1982 in Terre Haute, Ind., and returned to the Grand Haven area in 1985.

She was a Realtor for over 30 years in Terre Haute and in Grand Haven. Chris was a former member of First Presbyterian Church of Muskegon, member of Central Park Players, the Muskegon Civic Theatre, and former member of the Community Theatre of Terre Haute.

Christine is survived by her loving family; her husband, Kirby; two daughters, Cynthia G. (Mickey Schmidt) Swan and Virginia (Ginny) Swan, all of Grand Haven; her son, Thomas J. (Melissa) Swan of Terre Haute; five wonderful grandchildren, Trenton Leo, Megan Swan, Nicholas Swan, Christopher Swan, and Hannah Tjapkes.

The service for Christine will be 1 p.m. on Wednesday, June 13, 2012, at Klaassen Family Funeral Home, 1500 Robbins Road, in Grand Haven, with the Rev. James Rausch officiating. Interment at Lake Forest Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
