James K. “Jamie” Moulton Jr., 63, of Destin, Florida, passed away suddenly on April 2, 2012. He was born July 16, 1948, at Franklin, Indiana.
Jamie was a drummer with pioneering rock and roll bands from the late 1960s through the mid 1970s. Most prominent and influential in his career was the time spent with the “City Limits.” The City Limits enjoyed regular success in local and regional “Battles of the Bands” eventually taking their act to the southeast and Florida.
He was preceded in death by his father, James K. Moulton Sr.; and brother, David Moulton.
Survivors include his wife, Kely Hensley Moulton; their daughter, Melinda M. Smith; and granddaughter, Calle. Jamie also is survived by his mother, Sara Z. Moulton of Terre Haute; sisters, Molly Greer of Batavia Ohio and Jane Moulton of Naples Fla.; a sister-in-law, Linda Moulton of St. Louis Mo.; a brother, John Moulton of Terre Haute, nieces, Sara Staffers, Allison Greer, Kristin Greer of Cincinnati Ohio, Katie Moulton of Bloomington, Ind.; and nephews, Nick Moulton and Matt Moulton of Terre Haute.
Jamie was a member of the “High-Flyers,” a legendary local softball team for a decade prior to relocating to Destin. He was a highly esteemed member of the Cadre 13 fraternity. Jamie was an avid golfer/fisherman and also enjoyed shooting and collecting guns.
A celebration of his life is planned for family and friends on May 26, 2012.

Dwane Dale Rogers, 79, died Saturday, May 19, 2012, in Terre Haute Regional Hospital. He was born Feb. 17, 1933, in Terre Haute.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Kaye Vaughan Rogers; daughters, Vicki Steiner and husband Kenneth Steiner Jr. and Tammi Spence and husband James C. Spence; a brother, Ervin Rogers Jr.; five grandchildren, Kenneth Steiner III and wife Cindy, Amber Tegtmeyer and husband Nic Tegtmeyer, Andrew Steiner and wife Allison, Jarrod Steiner and wife Whitney, and Jeffrey Ennen II; four great-grandchildren, Kenneth Steiner IV, Lucas Dwane Steiner, Aubrey Kaye Tegtmeyer, and Emmalyn Elizabeth Tegtmeyer.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ervin Rogers Sr. and Edna Rogers; and his brother, Maynard Lee Rogers.
The owner of Rogers Decorating, he retired as a painting contractor in 1995. He previously acted as Vigo County Election Commissioner and served with the United States Navy during the Korean War. He was a member of Union Baptist Church, Terre Haute.
He devoted his life to both family and friends and was always available to lend advice, a helping hand or a listening ear. He will be greatly missed by all.
Visitation will be on Monday, May 21, 2012, from 4 until 8 p.m. in DeBaun Springhill Chapel, 85 E. Springhill Drive. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, May 22, 2012, at 1 p.m. in the funeral home, with Pastor Rod Maris officiating. Burial will be in Grandview Cemetery.
