TERRE HAUTE —
Connie W. Allaway went home to be with the Lord on July 8, 2012, at 5:50 a.m., at Miller’s Merry Manor, in Sullivan. She was born Feb. 14, 1927, in Vigo County, to Clyde Edward Allaway and Radie Caroline Goodwin. She worked for several years at the hardware store in Farmersburg. She attended Hickory United Methodist Church in Dugger.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Ed Walters; her parents; brothers, Winfield Allaway and James Allaway; sisters, Corine Copeland, Mamie Wilkins and Agatha Mayfield; and a daughter, Christina Walters.
A graveside service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Westlawn Cemetery, in Farmersburg, with Pastor Doug Tuttle officiating. Mattox-McHugh Funeral Home was entrusted with the arrangements.
