Jerry Lee Wolfe

TERRE HAUTE —

Jerry Lee Wolfe, 79, of Terre Haute, passed away at 8:23 a.m. on Monday, July 2, 2012. He was born on Sept. 11, 1932, to Stoy and Hazel (Shelton) Wolfe Gore. Jerry served in the United States Army in the Korean War. He was a member of the Oregon Baptist Church and also a member of the American Legion 346. He retired from Ralston Purina after 34 years of employment. Jerry attended Vincennes University and graduated from Purdue University.

Jerry was preceded in death by his father, Stoy Wolfe; mother and stepfather, Hazel Gore and Delbert Gore; and brothers, Jack Wolfe and Bert Gore. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Betty (Cullison) Wolfe; three sons, Mike Wolfe and his wife Kelly, Dennis Wolfe and his wife Jackie, and Kevin Wolfe and his wife Michelle; daughter, Marda Harris; grandchildren, Jessica Wolfe, Adam Wolfe and his wife Amanda, Joshua Wolfe, Lauren Wolfe, Jared Wolfe, Nicholas Wolfe, Samantha Wolfe, Matthew Wolfe, and Seth Harris; great-granddaughter, Briley Christine Wolfe; sister, Karen Volk; sisters-in-law, Brenda Gore and Esther Wolfe; brothers-in-law, Don Cullison and his wife Mary, and Clint Cullison and his wife Donna; and several cousins.

Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, July 6, 2012, at 1 p.m. at DeBaun Springhill Chapel, 85 E Springhill Drive. Pastor Fred Harrison will be officiating.  Burial will be at Farmersburg Westlawn with military honors. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Pallbearers are Mike Wolfe, Dennis Wolfe, Kevin Wolfe, Adam Wolfe, Joshua Wolfe, Jared Wolfe, Nicholas Wolfe, and Matthew Wolfe. Honorary pallbearers are Marda Harris, Jessica Wolfe, Lauren Wolfe, and Samantha Wolfe. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to Oregon Baptist Church building fund.
