Richard Reid Shaw, 84, of Terre Haute, passed away Nov. 13, 2012, at Regional Hospital. He was born April 19, 1928, in Terre Haute to Alexander C. and Helen (Montague) Shaw. He had recently received his 50-year membership pin from Carpenters Local 133. Mr. Shaw also belonged to Terre Haute Masonic Lodge 19, Scottish Rite Valley of Terre Haute, Zorah Shrine, and Wayne Newton American Legion Post 346. He was a veteran of the Korean War.
His survivors are two sons, Richard Randall Shaw and James Michael Shaw; and one grandson, Spencer Alexander Shaw. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Helen (Anderson) Shaw; and a brother, Donald Shaw.
Friends may call on Thursday at DeBaun Springhill Chapel beginning at 11 a.m. Masonic Lodge 19 will conduct memorial services at 1 p.m. Private burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park. Online condolences can be offered at:
