  UPDATE 4: Deadly tornado roars through Oklahoma City suburb

  A monstrous tornado at least a half-mile wide roared through the Oklahoma City suburbs Monday, flattening entire neighborhoods and destroying an elementary school with a direct blow as children and teachers huddled against winds up to 200 mph. At least 51 people were killed, and officials said the death toll was expected to rise.

Louie A. Osella

TERRE HAUTE — Louie A. Osella, 98, of Terre Haute died Saturday, November 10, 2012, in Meadows Manor East Convalescent & Rehabilitation Center. Louie was the New Car Sales Manager for Mace Lincoln Mercury for 36 years. He was born October 12, 1914, in Clinton, Indiana to Dominic Osella and Albina Molinara Osella.  

Survivors include his wife of 76 years, Martha Johnson Osella; three nephews, Ken Brown and his wife Kathy of Indianapolis, Louie Brown and his wife Diane of Clinton, and Tom Brown and his wife Vicki of Clinton; and several great nieces and great nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Beno “Tony” Osella; and two sisters, Rena “Katy” Brown and Mary Butkus.

Louie was a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church. He was a self-made man who enjoyed gardening and selling cars.

Prayers will begin at 9:20 a.m. in Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Wednesday, November 14, 2012, in Saint Benedict Catholic Church, 111 South 9th Street, with Father Edmund Goldbach OFM. CONV. officiating. Entombment will be in Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation is scheduled for today from 6 to 8 p.m. with a Rosary Service at 7:30 p.m. in Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home.
