TERRE HAUTE — Robert D. Miller, 82, of Coal Bluff, passed away on Friday, Aug. 3, 2012, at his home, surrounded by his family. He was born on Oct. 6, 1929, in Vigo County, to Dave and Frances (Bemis) Miller. He married Elizabeth Stuart and together they raised three children. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Bob worked for many years as an extruder operator at AET before he retired. Bob was a member of the Rosedale American Legion. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed.

Bob is survived by his children, Melissa Sharp and Tom Mason, Sue Flowers and Kenny Poe, and Bobby Miller and his wife Joann; grandchildren, Ashley and Amanda Sharp, Nicole Wells and husband Mike, Brian Flowers and wife Brandy, Bobby Miller and wife Nikki, and Josh and Erica Miller; sisters, Ann and husband Jackie Lou, Helen Brettel, Ede Lawson, Lucille Fox, and Zola Webster; and several great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth; his parents; sisters, Blossom Lawhorn and June Snow; and brothers, James, Jiggs, and John Miller.

Graveside services with military rites performed by Rosedale American Legion will be held on Monday, Aug. 6, 2012, at 11 a.m. in Roselawn Memorial Park. Mattox-Wood Funeral Home was entrusted with the arrangements. Online condolences may be made at:
