HYMERA — Linda Kay Matteson, 69, of Hymera, passed away at 4:20 p.m. Saturday, July 28, 2012, in Terre Haute Regional Hospital. She was born April 16, 1943, in Linton, to Joe Hutchison and Thelma Burger Hutchison.

Survivors include her spouse, James B. Matteson of Hymera, whom she married on June 10, 1962; sons and daughter-in-law, Daniel Joe Matteson of Hymera and Michael and Judy Matteson of Jasonville; grandchildren, Samantha Matteson, Matthew Matteson, Ashley McKinley, Ryan McKinley, and Jeffery Matteson; great-grandchildren, Brooklynn Matteson and Brianna Matteson; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Troy Allen Matteson; sister, Thelma Jo Fritz; and brother, Donald Hutchison.

Linda was a homemaker and enjoyed growing and working with flowers.

Arrangements are entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home, 218 South Meridian St., in Jasonville, with visitation scheduled from 11 a.m. until service time Wednesday. Interment will be at Westlawn Cemetery in Farmersburg. Funeral services are 1 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2012, at the funeral home, with Pastor Norman Santus officiating.
