WEST TERRE HAUTE — Shirley Lee Norton, 70, of West Terre Haute, passed away at 12:35 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2012, in her residence with her family by her side. She was born Dec. 28, 1941, in Terre Haute, to Frank and Hazel Prouse.

Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Kenneth R. Norton Sr.; her children, Kenneth Norton Jr. and wife Kathie, Donna Judson and husband Chuck, Ronald Norton and girlfriend Ginger, Lorrie Gilbert and husband Rick, Frank Norton and wife Debbie, Kathy Norton and companion Curt, and Jeff Norton and girlfriend Angel; three sisters, Lulie, Betty, and Mary; a brother, Larry; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Ricky and Donald Norton; and brothers and sisters.

Shirley's funeral service will be 3 p.m. Sunday, in Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 N. Third St., West Terre Haute, with the Rev. David Lowe officiating. Burial will be in Bethesda Memorial Park. Visitation will be 11 a.m. until service time Sunday. The family kindly suggests that in lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, memorial contributions may be made to the Shirley Norton Memorial Fund to assist with expenses, with envelopes available in the funeral home.
