CARLISLE — CARLISLE — Jane Shannon Waterford “Grandma Jane”, 92, of Carlisle, passed away on Wednesday, June 27, 2012, at Miller’s Merry Manor in Sullivan. She was born on Oct. 19, 1919, in Clinton, the daughter of Harlo and Goldie (Lewis) Little. Jane graduated from high school and attended Indiana Business College. She was employed at Sullivan State Bank in Carlisle for 27 years as the assistant branch manager.

She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Raymond Shannon in 1950; second husband, Paul Waterford in 1989; son, Charles Shannon in 2007; brother, Everett Little; and two sisters, Maxine Little and Helen Bowser.

Survivors include two sons, R. Leroy (Judy) Shannon in Oldenburg, Ind., and Dennis (Vivian) Shannon of Indianapolis; daughter-in-law, Phyllis Shannon of Farmersburg; daughter, Ruth Ann (Steve) Wilson of Carlisle; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mid Foncannon of Raleigh, N.C. and Margie McMonigle of Hillsboro, Ohio.

Graveside funeral services will be at 11 a.m., today, June 29, 2012, at IOOF Cemetery in Carlisle, with Pastor Tim Fleace officiating. Online condolences may be made at: www.banksandbrustfh.com
