AVON — Steven Ray McNeill, 57, of Avon, passed away Dec. 9, 2012, at his home. Steven was born Nov. 24, 1955, in Lake Charles, La., son of John and Helen Ann McNeill. He worked in the HVAC field for 30 years before retiring earlier this year.

He was preceded in death by his son, Keith McNeill; his mother, Helen Ann McNeill; a grandson, Drayden Webb; and brother, Tommy French.

Steven is survived by his children, Brant McNeill and wife Jennifer, and their children, Ashley, Lauren and Gretchen, of Terre Haute; Megan Maher and husband Darren of Terre Haute; and Steven McNeill Jr. of Avon; his father, John McNeill of Rosedale; brothers, Randy McNeill of Terre Haute, Jay McNeill of Nashville, Tenn., John McNeill of Fort Wayne, Brad McNeill of Rosedale, Brian McNeill and Ronald McNeill, both of Terre Haute; sister, Kim Minks of Terre Haute; his former wife, Susie McNeill of Indianapolis; stepdaughters, Becky, Cary and Jessie; grandchildren, Ashley, Lauren, Gretchen, Brittany, Olivia, Miah, Cody and Nathan.

Memorial services will be 3 p.m, Sunday, Jan. 6, 2013, at Chapel Rock Christian Church, 2020 N. Girls School Road, Indianapolis. Flanner and Buchanan Floral Park is entrusted with arrangements.
