TERRE HAUTE — Carrie Etta Mills McGoffney, 73, of Terre Haute, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2012, at 2:25 p.m. She was born July 31, 1939, in Terre Haute, to Ellis “Big Shoe” Mills and Gladys Viola Debow Mills.

She was a member of the Northside Church of Christ and a homemaker.

Carrie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one brother; and one sister.

She is survived by her children, Brian McGoffney of Crown Point, Ind., Ivy McGoffney, Evan McGoffney and Kelly McGoffney, all of Terre Haute; grandchildren, Keeli Mayes of Terre Haute, and Jordan McGoffney of Crown Point; several brothers and sisters; nieces and nephews; and cousins, church members, and very close friends.

A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012, at 1 p.m. at Northside Church of Christ, 1356 Fifth Ave., Terre Haute. Per Carrie's wishes, cremation has been chosen. Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 N. 13th St., in Terre Haute, was entrusted with arrangements. Online condolences may be made at:
