Evelyn M. Pearman

MONTEZUMA — Evelyn M. Pearman, 83, of Montezuma, passed away at 10 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012, at Union Hospital Clinton. She was born Dec. 14, 1928, in Indianapolis, to Jessie Thomas and Gertrude Wilburn Thomas. She had worked at the sewing factory in Clinton.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Donald L. Pearman, whom she married Aug. 13, 1946, in Newport.

Survivors include a son, Donald R. Pearman of Paris, Ill.; two daughters, Eva Couture of Summerfield, Fla., and Donna Vandevender of Montezuma; a sister, Mary VonBurg of Pine Island, Fla.; a special friend, Bob Jones of Roachdale; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Services are 3 p.m. today at Brown-Mack Funeral Home, with the Rev. Perry Mager officiating. Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery. Visitation is 1 p.m. until services.
