ROCKVILLE —
Stephen D. “Steve” Curts, 62, of Rockville, left this world to his next journey at 7:58 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2012, in Union Hospital Clinton. He was born July 25, 1950, in Robinson, Ill., to Phil Curts and Virginia Lewis Curts.
He was a self employed dump truck driver. He had spent several years in the Terre Haute and Rockville area. He enjoyed going to car shows, riding his Harley, spending time working in his yard, mushroom hunting, music, and helping people.
He was preceded in death by his father. Surviving are his mother, Virginia Colston; his companion and best friend of 27 years, Betty Jones; one sister, Vicki Curts; one daughter, Kimberly Payton; two nephews, Jamie and Travis Behem; one great-nephew, Joshua Behem; one cousin, Beverly Brewer; and his faithful dog, Grizz.
Private family visitation will be 2 to 4 p.m. today, Nov. 25, 2012, in Brown-Mack Funeral Home in Montezuma. Cremation has been chosen with a memorial service to be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Parke-Vermillion Humane Society, PO Box 155, Clinton, IN 47842. Online condolences may be left at:
