TERRE HAUTE —
Robert “Robbie” “Bob” Paul Carley was received into heaven on June 6, 2012, at Westridge Nursing Home. Robbie was born in East Chicago, Ind., Feb. 16, 1955, the son of Robert L. Carley and Miriam V. (Quigley) Carley. Robbie was a self-employed painter, a resident of and volunteer at the Light House Mission in Terre Haute, and a member of Oak Hill Community Church. Robbie was a graduate of Gavit High School in Hammond, Ind., and was a United States Navy veteran.
Mr. Carley was preceded in death by his brother, Terry Carley. Survivors include his parents; sisters, Denise (Rickey) Hodge, and Cheryl Carley, all of Edmond, Okla., and Sandra (Tony) Monasmith of Loudon, Tenn.
A celebration of life will be Wednesday, June 13, 2012, at The Lighthouse Mission, 1450 Wabash Ave., at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Tim Fagg Officiating. Internment will take place at National Cemetery in Danville, Ill., on Friday, June 15, 2012. Memorial contributions may be made to Lighthouse Mission or Vista Care Hospice.
