Robert Lee Milton

MARSHALL, Ill. — Robert Lee Milton, 85, of Greenwood, Ind., passed away at 10:55 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013, in Community South Hospital in Greenwood. He was born on June 13, 1927, in Marshall, Ill., to Joseph Milton Sr. and Bertha (Knight) Milton. He married Elizabeth Jane Morgan, whom preceded him in death on Jan. 22, 2011.

He was a retired train dispatcher.

Mr. Milton is survived by one son, Rick Milton of Greenwood; one daughter, Sheryl Anne Bolger of Ventura, Calif.; one grandson, Matthew Robert Milton of Mooresville, Ind.; one sister-in-law, Betty Dyer of Greenwood; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Joe Milton, George Milton, and Earl Dean Milton; and one son-in-law, Joseph “Buddy” Bolger.

He was a member of Clark County Post 90 of the American Legion.

Funeral services will be held at 12 noon CST on Thursday, Feb. 14, 2013, at Pearce Funeral Home, 314 S. 6th St., in Marshall, with Brother John Cutshall officiating. Burial will follow in Marshall Cemetery with military graveside rites by Clark County Post 90 of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5975. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home. Online condolences may be expressed at:
