Coral Elaine Penman Smith Dunkin

Coral Elaine Penman Smith Dunkin, 87, of Terre Haute, passed away Jan. 21, 2013, at Wyndmoor Retirement Community. She was born July 21, 1925, in Brazil, to John and Anna (Ferrell) Penman. She graduated from Brazil High School class of 1943, and attended Indiana State Teachers College. She was the publisher of the Twin Valley News, a weekly newspaper in West Alexandria, Ohio. Coral was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Richard Smith; sister, Bertha Penman Long; second husband, George Dunkin; and her granddaughters husband, Shawn Biddle.  

She is survived by her son, Richard Smith Dunkin and wife Terri; grandchildren, Christine Elaine Biddle, and Richard Franklin Dunkin and wife Jaymi; great-grandchildren, Brent Biddle, Cassie Biddle, Sydney Dunkin, Ashley Dunkin, and Nicholas Dunkin; a sister, Geraldine Penman Mitchell and husband David C. Mitchell.  

Keeping with her wishes there will be no funeral services. Burial will be in Highland Lawn Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by DeBaun Funeral Homes and Crematory. Online condolences may be offered at:
