BRAZIL — Terry A. Blila, 70, of Brazil, passed away Sunday, Dec. 23, 2012. He was born Feb. 8, 1942, in Erie, Pa., the son of Carl and Elba (Armstrong) Blila. Terry served in the United States Air Force as a fighter pilot for 21 years being honorably discharged in 1985. Following his military service, he flew for America West Airlines retiring in 2002. Terry was currently employed as an Aviation Safety Inspector for the Federal Aviation Administration.

He was preceded in death by his father, Carl Blila.

Terry is survived by his mother, Elba; wife, Susan; sons, Terry Jr. and wife Bree, Andrew and wife Robin, and Christopher; daughters, Leah, Teresa, Shelly and husband Rick, and Rebecca and husband Michael; grandchildren, Jennifer, Regina, Nick, Ann Marie and husband Daniel, Carrie, Derrick, Grady, Tallie and husband Richard, Josh, Christopher, Catherine, and Brayden; great-grandchildren, Eddie, Winter, Toi, Daniella, Elena, Saylar, and Audrey; and a sister, Joan.

A memorial mass was held Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012. at Holy Rosary Church, in Seelyville. In lieu of flowers, donations in Terry’s memory may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675, or visit www.woundedwarriorproject.org. Services have been entrusted to French Funeral Home, in Brazil. Visit www.frenchfuneralhome.com to light a candle in his memory.
