TERRE HAUTE —
Thelma Rosalie Morse, 93, formerly of Lewis, passed away at 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 24, 2012, at Sullivan County Community Hospital. She was born in Vigo County, Ind., Nov. 4, 1919, the daughter, of Ocie Hix and Vern Cleghorn Hix.
Thelma was a long time member of the Lewis United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Paul Edgar “Muggs” Morse in 1982; one brother, Max Hix; and a daughter-in-law, Debbie Madru Morse.
Survivors include two sons, Bobby Morse (Judy) of Shelburn, and Larry Morse (Robin) of Brazil; one sister, Norma Jean Ricketts of Pimento; four grandchildren, Bobbi Ann Morse, Greg Morse, Lesa Bourdon, and Kevin Morse; and three great-grandchildren, Evan, and Joe Bourdon, and Brayden Morse.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 28, 2012, at Lewis United Methodist Church with the Rev. Norman Santus officiating. Interment will follow at Stephens Cemetery in Lewis. Friends may call at the church from 12:30 p.m. until services Friday. Arrangements were entrusted to Banks and Brust Funeral Home in Sullivan. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lewis United Methodist Church, in care of Phyllis Price, 6123 S. Sandstone, Terre Haute, IN 47802.
