Lillian Joan Goetz “Joan,” 77, of Terre Haute, passed away at 4:05 a.m., on Friday, Dec. 21. 2012. She was born in Terre Haute, on Sept. 25, 1935, to James Cleveland and Ethel (Steward) Cleveland.
Joan was an avid reader and bingo player. She was the association manager of the Greater Terre Haute USBCWBA. Within the association she held many state and local officer positions. Joan was a member of the State Board Bowling Association, and she was a Hall of Fame member for local and state bowling.
Joan was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her children, Susan Cottrell, Kathy Troost and her husband Roger, Terri Hammond and her husband Wayne, and Kenny Goetz; twin sister Jeanette Macy; grandchildren, Beth Cottrell (Kris Chapman), Lindsay Gibson (Nate), Danny Troost, Brad Hammond, Bryan Hammond (Ashley), Kelli Jo Goetz, and Emma Goetz; and great-grandchildren Kelsey, Cameron, Ellie, Halle, Bailey and Carter.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. today, Dec. 23, 2012, at Callahan-DeBaun Funeral Home, 2425 Wabash Ave. Pastor David Deal will be officiating. Burial will be in Highland Lawn Cemetery.
