TERRE HAUTE — Nancy Jane Renfro, 77, of Terre Haute, passed away at 6:50 p.m. Friday, Dec. 21, 2012, in Terre Haute Regional Hospital. She retired from Union Hospital, in Terre Haute, after many years of service in the Social Services Department. She was born July 17, 1935, in Oklahoma City, to Milford Martin and Neva Pickett Martin.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Renfro, on Oct. 24, 2006. Survivors include a daughter, Sheri Rush of Terre Haute; a son, Kevin Rush of Indianapolis; a stepson, John Renfro of Terre Haute; a sister and brother-in-law, Carolyn and Bill Capalener of Poulsbo, Wash.; three nieces; and one nephew. She also was preceded in death by her parents; and her twin sister, Clara Jean Hubbard.

Nancy was a devout Christian and had attended both Maryland Community Church and Agape Christian Church, both in Terre Haute. She also had been involved with Happiness Bag and she was a member of the Newcomers Club.

According to Nancy’s wishes, a private family service has been arranged followed by entombment in the Chapel of Memories Mausoleum in Roselawn Memorial Park. Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, West Terre Haute, assisted the family with her arrangements. The family suggests that if friends so desire, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of donor’s choice.
