Paul Anthony Marietta

TERRE HAUTE —

Paul Anthony Marietta, 91, of Terre Haute died Monday evening, October 1, 2012, in his residence. He was an insurance salesman with Prudential Life Insurance for 32 years before his retirement. He was born July 3, 1921, in Clinton, Indiana, to Anthony Marietta and Emma Moore Marietta. His wife, Rose Mary Secondino Marietta, preceded him in death in 2006.

Survivors include a daughter, Paula A. Marietta of North Webster, IN; three sons, Dr. Stephen L. Marietta and his wife, Karin, of Lenoir City, TN, James A. Marietta of Robinson, IL, and Mark J. Marietta of Ft. Myers, FL; five grandchildren, Kristina (Marietta) Kelley, Anthony Marietta, Nicole Marietta, Elizabeth Marietta and Christopher Marietta; and several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his parents, Anthony and Emma Marietta; and three brothers, Don, John Wayne and Gene Marietta.

Paul was a graduate of Clinton High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Notre Dame. He was a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church and was a veteran of World War II having served in the Army Air Corps.

Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Friday, October 5, 2012 at St. Benedict Catholic Church with Father Ed Goldbach, OFM Conv. officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, October 4th from 5:00-7:00 P.M. with a Rosary at 6:45 P.M. in the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street. The family kindly requests that memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Wabash Valley, 400 8th Avenue, Terre Haute, IN 47804 or to St. Benedict Catholic Church, 111 South 9th Street, Terre Haute, IN 47807.
