  An Interstate 5 bridge over a river north of Seattle collapsed Thursday evening, dumping vehicles and people into the water, the Washington State Patrol said.

Michael Willison, 72, of Terre Haute died Tuesday, September 25, 2012 in Davis Gardens. He was born May 19, 1940 ,in Paris, IL. to Clarence O. Willison and Jane E. Gorman Willison. Michael was a retired plumber from Local #157 and a retired claims adjuster for Custard Insurance Adjusters.

Survivors include his wife, Sharon L. Willison; one son, Scott Willison and his wife Stephanie of Indianapolis; one daughter, Michelle O’Hare and her husband James of Terre Haute; three grandchildren, Justin O’Hare, Kristine O’Hare, and Sean Willison; and a niece, Tracy Kelley of Terre Haute. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Joyce Jennings and her husband James.   

Michael was a member of Memorial United Methodist Church. He was founder of Common Thread Ministries and has written sixteen books on the theology of John and Charles Wesley.

Memorial services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, October 6, 2012, in Memorial United Methodist Church, 2701 Poplar Street with Reverend Scott Johnson officiating.  Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to services at the church.  

Arrangements are under the direction of Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 S. 25th Street.
