TERRE HAUTE — Barbara Jean Busiere Johnston West, 83, of West Terre Haute, passed away at 10:10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2012, at Methodist Hospital, in Indianapolis. Barbara retired as a waitress at Bohannon's Restaurant in Terre Haute and also the St. Mary’s Supper Club after many years of service. She also was the former owner of the Indois Tavern and Clayton and Barb’s Place, both in Terre Haute. She was born May 4, 1929, in Terre Haute, to Lucien B. Busiere and Lucille E. Emrick Busiere.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Steve and Jane Johnston and Mark and Tammy West, all of Terre Haute; a brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Becky Busiere of Terre Haute; five grandsons, Jeremiah “Buck” Johnston, Joshua Johnston, Drew Heyen, Scott West, and Alex West; four great-grandchildren, Suzanne Weger, Juliana Guerra, Josalynn Johnston, and Kiara Johnston; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Betty Jo Chadwick; and a brother, Bob Busiere.

She had no everyday hobbies, instead, she loved spending time with her family especially her grandsons. She never met a stranger and enjoyed talking, sharing, and telling stories with anyone.

Barbara’s funeral service will be 3 p.m. Monday in Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, with the Rev. Chris Wilbur officiating. Burial will be in Bethesda Memorial Park. Visitation will be 11 a.m. until service time Monday.
