Thomas “Tommy” Hagan Dickinson, age 64, of Terre Haute, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 16, 2012, at Royal Oaks Health Care and Rehabilitation Center. Tommy was born in Hopkinsville, Ky., on Feb. 19, 1948.
Tommy was a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post 6 in Madisonville, Ky., and the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Terre Haute. Tommy had worked for the Department of Natural Resources in Kentucky and as a truck driver at ICON, before retiring due to health complications. A selfless and good hearted man, Tommy would help anyone. He loved to have fun, and was always ready for a picnic or a birthday.
Tommy leaves behind several family and friends that include Becky J. Toney, Annette Coffey, Mary Jo Stevens, Robin Carr; and several others. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mimms and Hazel Mae (Gray) Dickinson.
Tommy was a dear, sweet person who had a heart of gold. He will be greatly missed. RIP Tommy, we love you!
A celebration of life party will be from 1 until 5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 30, 2012, at the American Legion, Post 104 on Fort Harrison Road, outside under the shelters Covered dishes are welcome. Memories may be shared with the family at:
