TERRE HAUTE —
Bernard O. Hamilton, 71, of Ocala, Fla., formerly of Terre Haute, passed away on Tuesday, July 24, 2012, in his residence in Ocala. He retired from the U.S. Navy after 22 years of service. He was born May 4, 1936, in Terre Haute, to Clarence and Ruby Hamilton.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret “Peg” Hamilton; a stepson, Glen Pittman and his wife Anna; three grandchildren, Patrick, Christopher, and Katie Hamilton; a sister and brother-in-law, Carolyn and Gene Layman; a brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Nancy Hamilton; two nieces, Kristin Hamilton and Lana Trejo; and five nephews, Ryan Hamilton, Brian Lenges, Doug Lenges, Eric Lenges, and Richard Cox. He was preceded in death by a sister, Ruby Cox.
According to his wishes there are no services. Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, in West Terre Haute, assisted with arrangements.
