TERRE HAUTE — Betty J. Goucher, 84, of Terre Haute, passed away Sunday, July 22, 2012, at 11:06 p.m., in her residence. She was born Jan. 19, 1928, in Terre Haute, to Buford Foster  and Maud Smith Foster.

Betty loved to cook and shop. She enjoyed vacations, especially those spent in Florida with her family. Her life was her family and home and spending time with her kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids. She also enjoyed cooking for her family during holidays, Mexican food, and her poodles.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert Goucher, who passed away Nov. 13, 1999; a son, Lee Goucher; sister, Maxine Pebbles; and a grandson, Eric Wahl.

She is survived by sons, Don Goucher and wife Veta, and Kevin Goucher and wife Sue, all of Terre Haute; daughters, Karen Wahl and husband Jim of Terre Haute, and Connie Pierce and husband Keith of Farmersburg; grandchildren, Eric Goucher, Mindy Burgoramirez, Brandy Wahl, Lisa Gatewood, Brad Wahl, Wendy Barnes, Chad Barnes, Kim Pierce, Logan Pierce, Heather Goucher, Ryan Goucher; and great-grandchildren, Rory Ann Goucher, Trey Lyndon Burgoramirez, Kye Ingle, Levi Ingle, Ethan Wahl, Shaylen Bryan and Payton Bryan, Mika Whorton, Conner Barnes, Caden Barnes, Skyler Boone, Payton Boone, Ariel Maxwell, and Megan Maxwell. She is also survived by three nieces and nephews.

Services will be Thursday, July 26, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 N. 13th St., with  visitation today from 5 to 8 p.m., and again at 10 a.m. until service time on Thursday. The Rev. Morris Mott will be officiating; with burial at Roselawn Memorial Park. Online condolences may be made at: www.greinerfuneralhome.com
