Barbara K. Austin, 73, of Terre Haute, passed away Oct. 30, 2012, in Union Hospital. She was born Nov. 9, 1938, in Randolph County, to the Rev. Fay and Doris (Rockhill) Locke, who have preceded her in death. She retired from Union Hospital where she was a telephone operator. She was a very active member of Faith Wesleyan Church and had been the leader of the Tuesday Morning Ladies Prayer Group for 12 years.

She is survived by her husband, Charles B. Austin; three sons and daughters-in-law, the Rev. Ray Austin and wife Pam, Roger Austin and wife Lori, and Ron Austin and wife Tammy; two sisters, Joan Eyre and husband Clarence, Georgia Davis and husband Ray; nine grandchildren, Andy (Amy) Austin, Matt (Kristin) Austin, Seth (Amanda) Austin, Brittany (Ryan) Cottrell, Brianne (Austin) Weaver, Brooklyn Austin, Kimberly (Neil) Stakeman, Whitney (Dustin) Bledsoe, and Kylee (Evan) Brand; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 7 p.m. today, Nov. 1, 2012, in Faith Wesleyan Church, 6751 S. Carlisle, with the Rev. Dan Gormong officiating. Calling will be from 4 p.m. until service time today. Burial services will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery on Friday at 11 a.m., with the procession leaving DeBaun Springhill Chapel at 10:40 a.m. Online condolences may be made at:
