Jerry L. Cox, 64, of West Terre Haute, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, Oct. 18, 2012. He was born May 25, 1948, in Terre Haute, to Marshall E. Cox and Ethel Boruff Cox.
Survivors include his sister and brother-in-law, Cheryl and Joseph Irwin Jr. of West Terre Haute; two nieces, Tonya Moore and her husband Graham, and Andrea Silvers and her husband Darren; two nephews, Tony Vukusich and Hank Irwin and his wife Amanda; great-nieces and great-nephews, Daniel, Jude, Olivia and Richard Moore, Sophia Henderson, and Lily Silvers.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Jerry was the former owner of Enterprise Electronics in Terre Haute. He was a member of the Second Christian Church in Terre Haute. He enjoyed electronics, photography, being outdoors and going for walks in the woods. He was a graduate of West Vigo High School Class of 1966, received an associates degree from Samm’s Technical Institute in Indianapolis, his bachelor’s degree from Indiana State University.
His funeral service will be 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 22, 2012, in Second Christian Church, 401 Eighth Ave., Terre Haute, with the Rev. Donald Osborn officiating. Burial will be in South Vigo Cemetery. Visitation will be 12 noon until service time Monday in the church. Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, in West Terre Haute, assisted with arrangements.
