Marjorie C. (Foulke) Kraemer, born Dec. 9, 1923, went home to be with the Lord on Nov. 12, 2012, after an extended illness. Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred “Blackie” Kraemer; and her son, Dennis Kraemer; her parents, Jesse and Sarah Foulke; and 13 brothers and sisters.

Survivors are her daughter and son-in-law, Vicky and Leon Henderson; three grandchildren, Dawn Henderson, Alan Henderson and Kyle Kraemer; two great-grandchildren, Koby Kraemer and Abby Henderson; a stepgreat-granddaughter, Kierstin Bemis; two stepgreat-great-grandchildren, Gauge Osborn and Brailynn Ellis; a sister, Ruby Klausner; and several nieces and nephews.

Marjorie was retired from Reuben H. Donnelly Corp. after 33 years of service and served in the Telephone Pioneers organization. She also was a member of the Kitchen Band and was active as a Meadows Manor East volunteer.

For the last nine years of her life she lived in Deatsville, Ala., with her daughter, where she attended East Memorial Baptist Church, in Prattville, Ala.

Marjorie never met a stranger and had a very pleasant personality. In fact, when asked how she was, her reply was always, “I'm fine and dandy, sweet as candy.” She also was a very devoted mother, who daily cared for her disabled son for 33 years. Our lives were enriched by her and she will be truly missed.

Services will be Friday, Nov. 16, 2012, at 2 p.m. at Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 N. 13th St., with visitation from 11 a.m. until service time. Burial will be at West Lawn Cemetery, in Prairie Creek, with her husband and son. Online condolences may be made at: www.greinerfuneralhome.com
