MARSHALL — Mabel L. Pearson, 89, of Marshall, Ind., died at 1 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 1, 2012, at The Lane House in Crawfordsville. She was born Feb. 2, 1923, in Bloomingdale, to George and Mary Cox Crowder.
She married Jimmie G. Pearson on June 4, 1942, in Rockville, and he passed away June 12, 1984.
Survivors include her son, Duane Pearson (Annetta) of Marshall; one daughter, Jeanne Jones (Tony) of Crawfordsville; one sister, Bertha Brown of Bloomingdale; seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, James Pearson Jr.; a daughter, Brenda Rhoads; three brothers, Freeman, Glenn and Raymond Crowder; and a sister, Irene Riley.
She graduated from Bloomingdale Academy, in Bloomingdale, and was a member of Marshall Federated Church. She prepared many lunches as a cook, for over 30 years, at Marshall School and Turkey Run Community School in Marshall.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, 2012, at Marshall Federated Church, in Marshall, with the Rev. Don Perry officiating. Burial will be in Poplar Grove Cemetery, in Marshall. Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. today at the church. Arrangements by Barnes and Rice Funeral Home, in Rockville.
